We now have a large inventory of professionally-spun, 4-ply and 8-ply, alpaca yarn. It is available as 100% alpaca or a blend containing 80% alpaca fibre and 20% superfine Polworth wool.
This yarn is all sourced from New Zealand and has not been dyed. Each ball or skein weighs 50 grams and contains approximately 95 metres of yarn.
The fibre used to create this lovely yarn ranged between 18 and 26 micron to eliminate "prickle". The consistency of staple length eliminates pilling and the lack of lanolin reduces skin sensitivity.
Buy as much or as little as you require for your project. If you find that you need more to finish something, we have a fairly large supply of each batch.
The price depends on which type of yarn you wish to order. The 80% alpaca yarn is $7.00 per 50-gram ball. The price for the 100% alpaca yarn is $8.00 per 50-gram ball or skein. Packaging and postage is a flat $4.00, regardless of how many balls or skeins you order.

We also have a lot of beautiful carded alpaca fibre in various colours. The price is $10 to $12 per 100 grams plus another $4 to cover packaging and postage (regardless of how much you buy).
