Like many of our females, we selected Amber because she was mated to one of the better South Island huacaya males. If you have a quick look at one of Amber's recent cria (Inca) in the photo on the right, you can see why we selected a female mated to Hadstock NZ Dropkick.
In our opinion, Amber's fleece is only average, as is her conformation. She is an exceptional mother, however, and is a pleasure to be around in the paddock. When mated to a quality male, the improvement seen in the progeny has been obvious. Several of Amber's cria have gone on to be show winners and we expect her most recent (Chippewa) to do the same.
Amber has been sold and went on to have a lovely female cria.
